- I've been reading books for as long as I can remember. I've always read books of all kinds.
- I want to get into more graphic novels and comics. Those were the kinds of things that I could never really get my hands on growing up, unless they were free. Even then, I can only remember reading one or two of them and they were silly little things.
- At the beginning of 2017, I set a reading goal of 30 books this year and I've managed to surpass it and have gotten to 49 books read so far.
- I have 76 books sitting on my dining room table right this second that is part of my TBR pile. It doesn't include all of the books that are currently sitting on my Kindle that I haven't read.
- My reading pace slows way, way down in the warmer months. There's more for me to do outside during spring and summer that I end up taking more time to read than I do in the fall and winter.
- The only genre I don't read a lot of is romance. It's something I have to be in the mood for. And that doesn't occur very often.
- One genre that I would love to get into more is psychological thrillers. I haven't read too many of them and would love to see more of them end up in my TBR pile.
- I'm in the middle of so many series that I need to finish: The Lunar Chronicles, Dorothy Must Die, The Wicked Years (this is a reread series), Howl's Moving Castle, just too name a few.
- My least liked book that I've read so far this year is Rushed by Brian Harmon. I loved the premise of this book but ended up disliking it so much that I won't be continuing with the series.
- On the flip side, my favorite book so far as been Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones. This book has a bit of a Labyrinth vibe to it, which is probably why I loved it so much. Labyrinth was one of my favorite movies growing up and still is. There are differences between the two and if you love the movie, you just may love this book.
Hope you're having a great day!
Your kindred bookmate,
Cassie
